Journey to Israel

by Clesha Staten

Shalom!  This past January I had the opportunity to travel to Israel with a small group of few seminarians.  It was actually for a class, The Holy Land Tour, led by our Old Testament professor Dr. Itapson.  The journey was awesome, inspiring, exhausting, exhilarating, and all those other adjectives you use when you try to describe an experience that is just beyond words.  I am late getting this post up because there was just so much I experienced that I didn’t know where to start.  So, I decided to tell of this journey in a different way.  I’m going to let the images speak for me.

Over the next week I will take you day by day on my travels through Israel.  There will be a blurb here and there, but I will let the photos tell the story.  Some classmates were kind enough to their images so I will have thousands of photos to choose from to make this journey interesting.

I’ll meet you in the Holy Land!

How Are You Greeting Thanks?

Let me ask you a hypothetical question. If you just completed this great thing and someone came up to you and began to thank you for doing it and sharing how it touched them, how would you respond? Would you respond with a smile, knowing that what God put in you has found it’s way to those who need it or would you instantly begin to lament about everything that went wrong, didn’t go right and your shortcomings? I’ll be honest, more often than not, my response is the later. And, that has to stop.

Forget New Year Resolutions Don’t feel guilty because you lack energy to tackle all the “shoulds” in your New Year resolutions. January is the worst time to attempt lifestyle changes – like exercise – without a strong support system. [...]
